Paxman Care Live

Final year at the University of Leeds. A tablet dashboard for nurses and service engineers, based on Paxman Scalp Cooling’s system and using fictional patient data using Figma.

Focus. The core focus was to simplify the process and reduce cognitive load. To do this, I designed a user flow that maps the different paths users might take.

What I designed. A nurse dashboard with cooling levels, a session countdown, a confirmation step before a session can be stopped, a patient directory and treatment summaries. A service engineer area with device diagnostics, a troubleshooting library and fault reporting.

Testing. I couldn’t reach nurses during the project, so I tested the designs with lecturers and other students. The next step would be testing with nurses.
